That’s about 10%. But if you add up all the fractions of a percent related to complications from medications, you’ll see what I mean.

The point of this website will be to educate our visitors on the importance of taking care of their bodies. The best doctor is inside of you, so keep yourself in check with these quick and easy guidelines we’ll be publishing here. Come back often.

Getting the Health Check up

Checking in on your own health is more important than visiting the doctor from time to time. In fact, if you’re able keep a good idea on managing your body, it’s most likely that you’ll not need to visit the doctor. What I want to offer today is a good way to make sure you are able to balance the outer health with the inner. How? by looking your best, you’re often more prone to feeling your best. For guys, it’s staying clean-cut and fit. For women it’s moving toward or maintaining your target weight goals. When these are in place first and foremost, you’ll be well on your way to experiencing life in a more productive way. This is what I call the health check up. “Ask Tommy” and you’ll be able to get the very most out of your body for the very longest time possible (barring accidents of course).

Eating righteating right leads to good health

One of the biggest problems with people’s health is that they’re just not eating healthy. The results are several symptoms of “diseases” but they’re not diseased at all. They’re just in a little “funk” from not eating the proper diet. Consider getting more living foods into your body and you’ll start to feel the difference immediately.

Eating the right amount

Most folks either grossly over eat or severely under eat. For those undereaters, it’s something of a discipline to get up around 2,000 or more calories / day. The target if you’re trying to gain energy and weight would be 3,000cal or more each day. You’ll feel an immediate difference in your body. And eating the right foods is of the highest importance. There are plenty of resources out there to help you with this journey, I won’t list them here, but please do some research for your body type and tastes. Check back here and we’ll have some detox information and other remedies.

Knowing When it’s Time for Plastic Surgery

Healthy living can take on many faces. In fact, your face has a lot to do with how healthy you are. Did you know that there’s auto-feedback that your brain gives to you when you look in the mirror? It’s a fact that your brain will either give you favorable feedback or negative feedback when you look at yourself. And not just your face, but your entire body can contribute to how you feel about yourself. If you’re in the market for getting some help with your body of looks, then this post is for you.

Advice from Plastic Surgeons who have done Thousands of Procedures

Many times, before performing any plastic surgery, a good doctor will first do a psychiatric evaluation of his patient. This evaluation can take many different avenues depending on how you answer certain questions. For example, if you’re someone who has had operations in the past and still aren’t satisfied with your body look or your facial features, perhaps there’s some mental feedback that will never change no matter how you appear in the mirror. Getting to understand some of the reasons why people get this type of procedure can be helpful.

  1. Do you fear what others think about you?
If you’re constantly dependent on the feedback of others, this can mean that no matter how you look, one person could change your entire perspective of “self.”
  2. Do you love yourself?
Loving yourself means being comfortable in your own skin, no matter what circumstance you find yourself in. Loving yourself is also a good reason to get plastic surgery, but not loving yourself, you might think, would be a good reason also, but it is not. If you have a general disdain for yourself, it might not matter how you look. Much of what one perceives in the mirror is self-defeating. It’s important to have a good relationship with your “self” before considering a procedure, because no matter what you look like, “there you are.”
  3. Do you have a clearly defined image of what you hope to look like?
This might sound like a rhetorical question, but the truth is, many people who come in don’t really know exactly what they want. We usually help them out by showing before and after pictures of previous patients to help them along the way.

Psychological benefits of plastic surgery

Opting for corrective surgery is one of life’s greatest challenges and can become an incredible blessing. Doing so will hopefully improve all areas of your life, but mostly how you feel about yourself, which will affect how you carry yourself from day-to-day.

I recommend doctor doctor who has multiple New Jersey cosmetic surgery offices. They are professional and courteous and always do a great job. They’ll gently take you by the hand to help you determine your level of comfort with the kind of procedure you’re looking for. Good luck and please show us some of your before / after photos!

Healthy Teeth, Healthy Body

chicago orthodontic patient with dental braces smilingGetting braces? Don’t be afraid. It used to be a scary thing for teens especially because of all the metal that goes into the mouth when one gets braces. But what happens if you get some braces that are barely noticeable? That’s what we’re going to share today, and hopefully bring some enlightenment to the scene.

An office that does dental braces Chicago has contributed to this information and brings to us some great hygiene tips while you have braces. And not those metal ones, but the more beautiful ones by Invisilign. These are the greatest thing since sliced bread for people who want to straighten their teeth out.

What you Need to Know about Dental Braces

These braces are not your gramma’s braces. They’re based on a new technology by 3M. This allows for a great experience for those who had been scared to get them. What they do is either match the exact color of your teeth then create the brackets to match and virtually become invisible. This means people can’t even notice them if they’re only a few feet away. Great news! And health? Your mouth will be healthier because you won’t have invasive metal rails but rather composites of plastics and ceramics. These are easier to clean, less bulky, and just look great. Hopefully you’ll do your best to stay away from the sweets while you have braces, but more importantly, you won’t be afraid to get them. -Tommy

Healthy Skin means a Healthy Soul – Understanding Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures available, with countless people choosing to undergo this treatment each year. It is a highly effective way to permanently get rid of unwanted hair. Unlike shaving, waxing or other common hair removal procedures, laser hair removal destroys the hair follicle, preventing the hair from ever growing back.

The technique can be used on just about any part of the body where unwanted hair is growing including the legs, bikini area, face, arms, legs, and underarms. The process itself is extremely fast and relatively painless, although there is some discomfort associated with the procedure.
People with light skin and dark, coarse hair tend to be the best candidates for the procedure. However, thanks to the development of new technology, people with darker skin are now able to get excellent results as well.

It is important to have realistic expectations in terms of what kind of results you can expect with this procedure. Most people experience a reduction in the number of hairs growing within the treated area. They may, however, experience regrowth from some of the treated follicles. Multiple treatments may be required to eliminate all hair from a particular part of the body.

How Laser Hair Removal Works

As with any cosmetic procedure done by an esthetician, there are risks of side effects with laser hair removal. It is important to talk to your doctor about these risks to determine whether or not they outweigh the benefits that you could get from the procedure. You should also talk with your doctor about whether you are a good candidate for laser hair removal based on the color of your skin and the coarseness of your hair. You may find that you would get better results from a different permanent hair removal technique such as electrolysis. Because your doctor knows your skin type, hair type, and health history, they will be able to make recommendations that are right for you.

If you decide to undergo laser hair removal treatment, they can also provide you with instructions on how to prepare yourself for the procedure. You will need to avoid waxing or other hair removal techniques that remove the root of the hair for a certain amount of time before the procedure. You may also be instructed to limit the amount of sun your skin is exposed to leading up to the procedure.

In the end, the more educated you are about laser hair removal, the better position you will be in to decide whether or not it is the right treatment option for you.
